OWNER & FOUNDER
I graduated from Murphy HS in 1989, then trained at Midwest Dog Grooming Academy in 1993 after working in a Chicago grooming and boarding facility. Over the years I competed across all groups and earned certifications from the National Dog Groomers Association in Sporting, Non-Sporting, Terrier, Toy, and Herding Groups. I’ve attended countless seminars on health, nutrition, skin conditions, and breed cuts. In 2014 I moved back to Murphy to care for my parents — and decided to do what I love. I opened Lovin’ Care Grooming and Boarding, and I’m thankful the business keeps growing every year.
Dondi Thomas
From chef pants to smocks — I began my career in culinary arts, but always knew my true passion was working with dogs. After years managing restaurants, I caught my chance with Lovin’ Care in 2019 and never looked back. I have 10 dogs of my own and so many more I now consider family. I treat every dog that comes into my care as if they were my own, putting their health, safety, and comfort before all else. I’m continuing to grow my knowledge in grooming and K9 behavior so I can specialize in working with shy, skittish, or temperamental babies.
Alanna Sanner
I’m a dedicated dog groomer with nearly four years of experience — and it’s a profession that truly ignites my passion. I have six dogs of my own, which deepens my connection to the work I do every day. I started in a kennel for two years learning canine care and behavior, then began grooming before joining Lovin’ Care. My goal is always to help each dog look and feel their absolute best — leaving not just looking fabulous, but feeling happy and confident. I’m excited by the continuous learning journey and the chance to make a real impact on the lives of these beloved pets.
Kendell Roche
Born and raised right here in Murphy, NC, I’ve always felt a deep connection to animals. Growing up, our home was never without a furry companion — from rescues to rehab projects, my family has always opened its doors to animals in need. I worked in the service industry while pursuing my degree in Animal Science and Psychology, learning patience, hard work, and genuine care along the way. I’m proud to be part of the Lovin’ Care team and especially excited to continue learning from Dondi and Alana — with the long-term dream of stepping into service animal training. At the heart of everything I do is helping pets and their people live healthy, happy lives together. It’s more than a job — it’s what I love.
Michelle Reinhardt
I’m a passionate and dedicated professional dog groomer with 14 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. As a Mom of 3, I understand how important patience, compassion, and trust are. I treat every dog like family and strive to make every grooming experience as comfortable, safe, and positive as possible. Dog grooming isn’t just a job to me — it’s something I genuinely love and feel proud to do every day. Building relationships with my furry clients and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
